PHIL DANA WINSTEAD

Phil Dana Winstead, 86, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021. He was born in Nash County, August 12, 1934 to the late Jacob and Lalar Cooper Winstead. In addition to his parents, Phil was preceded in death by brothers in law Jesse Smith and Jimmy Smith.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Peggy Stanley Winstead; sons Michael Dana Winstead (Edna), Stanley Kelvin Winstead (Lori); six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sisters Healon Smith and Patsy Smith.

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 6:30-8 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held Friday, May 28, 2021 at 2 p.m.at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery
