JAMES DALTON (JIM) WORDSWORTH, JR.

ROCKY MOUNT - James Dalton (Jim) Wordsworth, Jr., 91, passed away on May 22, 2021. He was born on February, 18, 1930 in Whitakers to the late James Dalton and Alberta (Pollard) Wordsworth, Sr.

Jim was married to and is survived by Mary Elizabeth (Mary Lib) Scott Wordsworth, his wife of 63 years. He is also survived by his brother, Albert Grey (Al) Wordsworth of Wilmington; his four children: Eric Wordsworth of Rocky Mount, Lynne (Wordsworth) Nelson of Fuquay-Varina, Alan Scott (and wife Robin) Wordsworth of Davidson, NC, and Mike (and wife Cindy) Wordsworth of Rocky Mount; seven grand-children; five great-grand-children.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Rocky Mount. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. A visitation will be from 1 - 1:45 p.m.prior to the service in the Narthex of First Baptist Church.
