SHARPSBURG - Samuel W. Bailey, Sr., age 77, passed away May 4, 2021. He was born in Nash County on November 17, 1943. He was preceded in death by his father, William "Floyd" Bailey; his brother, William "Gerald" Bailey; and his sister-in-law, Marlene Nichols Bailey.
He is survived by his mother, Lessie Boone Bailey; his wife of 59 years, Camilla Evans Bailey; his oldest son, Samuel W. "Fred" Bailey, Jr. (Nikki); his youngest son, Michael "Bryan" Bailey (Lori); six grandchildren.
A graveside service was held May 7, 2021 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel, entombment, Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel on the Hill Mausoleum.
