ROCKY MOUNT - William Edsel "Ed" Proctor Sr., age 93, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. Born in Wilson County on July 4, 1927, he was the son of the late Zillie and Stephen Proctor. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Louise Bottoms, Madge Williams; and his brother, Tom Proctor.

Ed is survived by his wife 72 years, Adell P. Proctor; his son, William E. Proctor, Jr. and wife, Patricia, of Rocky Mount; his daughter, Jeannie P. Hodges and husband, Wayne of Greensboro; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; his sister, Alafla P. Eason; his brother, R.S. Proctor, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was held March 26, 2021. Burial, Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
