NASHVILLE - Sheila Gupton Barefoot, age 71, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. Born in Nash County on April 13, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Ray Gupton and Mel Grace Bowen Gupton. She was also preceded in death by her son, Billy Ray Childers.

She is survived by her son, Terry Childers of Rocky Mount; her sister, Deborah Hinton of Rocky Mount; her brother, Gary Gupton of Winston-Salem; and one nephew.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Flowers are welcome.
