ROCKY MOUNT - Ennis Lucas Edwards, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. Born in Sampson County on July 10, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Wesley Alford "June" Lucas and Flora Faircloth Lucas. She was also preceded in death by her mother and father, sisters Bonnie Warren, Sallie Ray Coats, brother W. A. Lucas and great grandson Lawson Wells Atkins.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Arthur "Randolph" Edwards; her son, Chuck Edwards (Kim); and her daughter, Kim Garner (Roy); seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held on December 29, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 12:30 - 2 p.m. prior to the service.
