ROCKY MOUNT - Linda Smith Gardner, age 71, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020. Born in Nash County on February 7, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Carl Allen Smith and Beauford Knight Smith.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Charles Gardner of Rocky Mount; her daughter, Cary Gardner Hencken and her husband, Chris, of Boston, MA; her son, J. Allen Gardner and his wife, Brittnie, of Raleigh; one granddaughter; brothers, David Smith and his wife, Brenda, of Buxton, Phillip Smith and his wife, Doris, of Nashville.
A private family graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
