ROCKY MOUNT - Sue Dixon Howell, age 88, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020. Born in Granville County on January 19, 1932, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Dixon and Gertrude Wilkins Dixon. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Ray Howell; her brothers, Hugh Dixon and Edward Dixon; and her sister, Helen Dixon Clark.

Sue is survived by her son, Lee Edward Howell of Greenville; her daughters, Candace Ann Howell of Rocky Mount, and Donna Howell Alexander and husband, Shawn of Taylors, SC; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
