JOSEPH BRITTON FORD

Joseph Britton Ford, 70, passed away December 9, 2020. He was born in Wilson County to the late Cleveland and Hortense Ford. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son-in-law Sterling Carroll; brother Larry Ford; brother-in-law Sam Champion and a sister-in-law Deborah Ford.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lula Proctor Ford; daughters, Virginia Carroll (Chris) and Bobbie Jo Barbour (Robbie); five grandchildren; one great grandchild; brother Timmy Ford; sisters, Sue Champion, Vanessa Griffin; sister-in-law Carol Ford; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association, American Heart Association or a charity of one's choice. No services will be held but the family will receive quest at the home in Elm City.
