JOYCE SURLES PARKER

ELM CITY - Joyce Surles Parker, age 73, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020. Born in Nash County on November 7, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Albert Lee Surles, Sr. and Cora Elizabeth Sutton Surles. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Willard Ray Parker; her sister; Mary Rodenbo; her brothers; Lennie Ray Surles, Albert Lee Surles, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Amy Parker Cuthrell and husband, Eric, of Rocky Mount; her sister, Carolyn Hughes of Halifax; brother, John Andrew "Andy" Surles and his wife, Glenda, of Rocky Mount; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Following the service, the family will receive friends and relatives until 8:30 p.m.

A private family Burial will take place at Cuthrell-Parker Family Cemetery in Rocky Mount.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made in Joyce's memory to Harvest Baptist Church, 2325 Old Mill Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27804
