EARL OLIVER SEARS

ROCKY MOUNT - Earl Oliver Sears, 92, passed away November 2, 2020.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years Elsie Byrd Sears of Duplin County; sons James O. Sears and wife Dawn and J. Wayne Sears and wife Audrey; three grandsons; one great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his father Cicero Sears and mother Alverada Bass Sears. He had one half Sister Barbara Sears Byrd. Earl was raised by his mother and his uncle Linwood Bass (deceased) and was very close to his cousins, Billy Bass, Donald Bass, Faye Bass, Margaret Ann Bass, Steve Bass (deceased), Kenneth Bass (deceased) Sammy Bass (deceased) who he thought of as brothers and sisters. He was also proceeded in death by his aunts and uncles AZ Bass, Alton Bass, Junior Bass, Rebecca Bass Lee, Irene Bass McCullen and Annie Bass Bunn.

A private service will be held at Englewood Presbyterian Church with internment at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Mausoleum. The Family ask that memorials be sent to Englewood Presbyterian Church, 100 Englewood Dr. Rocky Mount NC 27804
