Morris Lee Gupton, "Mr. Pete," passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020. He was born January 30, 1935.

He is survived by his wife Edith Howell Gupton: children Faye G. Allen (Emmett), son Morris, Jr. (Joyce) Gupton; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his brother Bill Gupton of Cary; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Emma Gupton; sisters Elizabeth Boone, Estelle Powell, Rebecca Proctor, Ruby King and Peggy Hedgepeth; brother Charles (Pluto) Gupton.

Services were held Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Chaplin Rick Forkum officiating. Burial followed at Forest Hill Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to The Gideons.
