MABLE "GAMMY" SHERROD PURVIS

Mable "Gammy" Sherrod Purvis, 88, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020. She was born August 26, 1931 in Nash County to the late Tommy and Betty Sherrod. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Willie Jack Purvis and sons Mike and Danny Lee Eason; brothers Elgia, Earl, Curtis and Jerdin Sherrod; sisters Mary Hendrick and Beulah Hodges.

She is survived by brothers, Oscar Sherrod (Sassy), Hassel Sherrod (Becky), and Wesley Sherrod (Betty); children, Ray Eason (Joan), Dennis Eason (Doris), Margaret Jean Newton (Greg), Gloria Bulluck, Bert Eason (Sandy) and Charlene Lacerda (Thomas); thirteen grandchildren and multitudes of great-grandchildren.
