Donnie Ray Carpenter, 66, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020. He was born December 29, 1953 in Nash County to the late Cordie and Betty Proctor Carpenter. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Rubin and Jack Carpenter; sisters Nell Pullen and Gertie Sykes.

He is survived by his daughter Kori Carpenter Spivey (Jason); brother Rev. Jimmy Carpenter; sisters Louise Coleman, Linda Howell and Fay Higgins; two grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Visitation with family and friends will be Saturday, July 25, 2020 from 11:30-12:45 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Jerry Braziel officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
