ROCKY MOUNT - Alton Gray Melvin (Brownie), born May 19, 1938, passed away July 7, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Amos Graham Melvin and Sula Horne Melvin; brother, Lewis Fletcher Melvin; sister, Nell Rose Jones; and daughter-in-law, Patricia Melvin.
Alton is survived by his wife of 61 years, Delphia Edwards Melvin; sons, Mark Melvin (Clarice), Wayne Melvin (Beth), Glenn Melvin, and Richard Melvin (Denise); twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren
A graveside service was held Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. |
