Mary Elizabeth "Mary Lib" Pope Davenport passed away July 1, 2020. Mary Lib was the daughter of the late Mary Elizabeth Newman Pope and Emmett Judson Pope of Mount Olive, and the wife of John Edwin "Ed" Davenport for 61 years.

She is survived by daughters, Elizabeth D. Scott and husband Robert A. Scott of Raleigh and Wynn D. Pickett and husband Donald E. Pickett of Charlotte; three grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother Emmett Judson Pope, Jr. and sister Jeanne Pope Montague.
