John Wesley Kennedy, Jr., age 82, passed away on June 20, 2020. John was born in Nash County.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia Kennedy of Nashville; his daughter Julie Kennedy Whetzel of Wendell, and son David Kennedy of Williamsburg, VA; sisters, Dixie Kennedy Hendricks of Oak Level; and Bettye Kennedy Ayers of Elm City; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley Kennedy, Jr., and Sadie Vick Kennedy. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Wiley and Mahala Vick and Charlie and Patty Kennedy.
