Ronald Wayne Thurman, 68, passed away April 11, 2020. He was born July 6, 1951 in Lunenburg Co, VA to the late Ernest Thurman and Eura Coleman Thurman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Melvin Lee (Pete) Thurman and Aubrey Allen Thurman (Shelby).
He is survived by his wife Peggy Adams Thurman; step children, Early Hopkins Jr, Michael Hopkins (Carolyn), Kimbley Hopkins Arnold (David); son, Danny Thurman; daughter Tonya Thurman Gardner; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; sisters, Virginia Bell, Nancy McGuire, Linda Brown, Barbara Bruton, Deborah Julian.
Following the CDC guidelines, a visitation will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Evangel Christian Fellowship 1421 Graham St. Rocky Mount. The funeral service will follow at 12:30pm with Rev. Ricky Forkum and Rev. Jean Arnold officiating and special words from Michael Hopkins. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. |
