ROCKY MOUNT - Eddie Mabry Knight, age 91, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2020. Born in Halifax County on March 22, 1928, he was the son of the late Willie Edward Knight and Ruth Ellington Knight. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Blanche Vick Knight; sister, Evelyn Thompson; brothers, Leon Knight and James Knight.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Knight; son, Tony Knight and wife, Nancy; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; along with many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Services were held Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Mark Pridgen officiating. Burial followed the service at Red Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.
