James Roy "Roy Boy" Watkins

LOUISBURG - James Roy "Roy Boy" Watkins, 75, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2019.

Funeral services were held on Monday, December 2, 2019 at 12 p.m. from Eagle Rock United Christian Church in Wendell with Rev. Everett Sanders officiating. Burial followed in the Eagle Rock Church Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Watkins, of the home; three daughters, DeeDee Sanders and her husband, James, and Delphia Moses, and her husband, Thomas, both of Louisburg, Ginger Terrell, and her husband, Kenneth, of Raleigh; one son, Tracy Watkins of Louisburg; four sisters, Shirley Harris and her husband, Ted, of Rolesville, NC, Janie Greene, and her husband, Johnnie, of Raleigh, Wilma Doris Lucas, and her hsuband, Alfonso, of Nashville, Ethel Lee Cooley of Raleigh; three brothers, Newbern Watkins, Jr. and his wife, Lucy, of Raleigh, Edward Lewis Watkins and his wife, Barbara, of Wendell, Lonnie Thomas Watkins of Raleigh; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
