ROCKY MOUNT - Violet Marie Braddy Cahoon, age 86, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2019. A native of Halifax County, she was born in Hobgood on May 1, 1933 to the late Charlie E. Braddy and Violet Drew Braddy. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Russell "Jack" Cahoon; three sons, Kenneth, Daniel and Timothy Cahoon, and a brother, Percy "Dick" Braddy.
She is survived by her son Russell "Butch" Cahoon and wife Lynette of Roanoke Rapids; daughter, Gail O'Neal and husband Gray of Rocky Mount; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held by family and close friends. Family will receive visitation at the home of her daughter, Gail, on 8277 Bend of the River Road, Rocky Mount; any memorials of kindness are asked to be made as donations to Nash County Hospice. |
