ROCKY MOUNT - Sterling Clary Harris, age 98, passed away October 6, 2019. Born in Richmond, Virginia on July 29, 1921, he was the son of the late William Henry Harris and Nell Clary Harris. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Alice Jean Tuttle Harris.

Survivors include his sons, John Tuttle Harris and wife Patsy of Warsaw, VA; James Sterling Harris and wife Elaine of Milford, VA; Roger Eugene Harris and wife Liz of Rocky Mount; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Services were held Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Englewood Presbyterian Church, Rocky Mount.
