ROCKY MOUNT - Patricia "Dawn" Bridges, age 48, passed away Sunday morning, January 27, 2019. She was born on May 13, 1970 in Rocky Mount. She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Rev. Pete Bridges "Poppy Boy" and Wilma Bridges of Sharpsburg; maternal grandparents, Guy and Clydie Turner of Durham.
She is survived by her parents, Donald Bridges of Nashville and Alma Turner Bridges of Durham; and one sister, Kim Bridges Walker of Durham; her aunts and their husbands, Gloria and Keith Warrick (whom she called Mama and Daddy), Lois and George Moore, and Elaine and Billy Fuller.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. George H. Moore, Sr. officiating. Entombment will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel of Memories Mausoleum. Visitation with the family will be from 11:30 a.m.to 12:30 p.m. prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
