SPRING HOPE - Christine Shearin Hayes, 91, died October 24, 2018.

Christine was born and raised in Nash County. She was the daughter of Jimmy and Edna Shearin of Momeyer.

Christine was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Clyde Stanton Hayes. Also preceding her in death were three sisters, Mary Davis, Lula Sykes, and Ruth Coppedge; as well as four brothers: Raymond, Joe, Buck, and Horace Shearin.

She is survived by five children, Duke Hayes, Helen Baines (husband, Shawne Baines), Pam Pace (husband, Kenneth Pace), Roxie Hayes (husband, Keith Joyner) and Scott Hayes; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Carrie Young.

Visitation with the family will be held at 1:30 pm on Sunday, November 4 at Holly Grove Baptist Church, 1640 Holly Road, Spring Hope, will be followed a service at 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Holly Grove Baptist Church.
