Barbara Mary Brosseau Joyner

Barbara Mary Brosseau Joyner, age 75, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018. Born in Fitchburg, MA on August 28, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Adelard Joseph Brosseau and Barbara Pollock Brosseau. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Brian Brosseau; and a sister, Sue Brochu.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, James Cornelius Joyner; children, Thomas Bashore and wife, Patricia, of Nashville, Luanna Bashore Jackson and husband, Jerry, of Rocky Mount, John Bashore of Rocky Mount, Sharri Vick of Wilson, and James Joyner of Simms; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Adelard "Butch" Brosseau of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Karen Kahara of Fitchburg, MA, and Debra "Debbie" Lee Brosseau-Kammerer of Castro Valley, CA; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 1:30 PM at Southside Baptist Church, Elm City, with the Pastor CJ Cauble officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 12 - 1 p.m. prior to the service in the Sanctuary of Southside Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 4948 Carter Road, Elm City, NC 27822.
