Evelyn Deans Collins, age 93, of Red Oak, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018. Born in Nash County, NC on July 2, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Spruill Deans and Stella Whitley Deans. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Marion Collins, Sr.; and brothers, Claude Deans and Randolph Deans.

She is survived by her sons, Paul Marion Collins, Jr. and wife, Judy, of Rockingham, and Joseph Wood Collins and wife, Robin, of Littleton; and daughter, Vickie Collins Lewis and husband, Mike, of Nashville; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Red Oak Baptist Church, Red Oak, with the Rev. Chris Fowler officiating. Burial will follow the service at Red Oak Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 12 - 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.
