Everett Douglas Rice

Everett Douglas Rice, 88, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018. He was born in Perry County, Illinois August 3, 1929 to the late Bertie and Lora Burbridge Rice.

In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his wife, Margie; a son, Tim Hyde; a grandson, Roger Hyde and a brother, Bob Rice.

He is survived by his sons Stephen Rice (Cindy), Relmond Rice (JoAnne), Rodney Rice, Michael Rice (Brenda), Rick Hyde (Faye); 14 grandchildren; brother, William Rice (Ann); 9 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Monday, January 15, 2018 at 12 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Bateman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Black Creek Cemetery, Wilson. Flowers are accepted or memorial donations may be made to Nashville Church of God Building Fund, 308 Western Ave., Nashville, NC 27856.
