Mavis Hortense Cooper

Mavis Hortense Cooper, 87, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018. She was born in Nash County to the late Ransom Boyette and Annie Bradberry Cooper. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Turner Cooper.

She is survived by her daughters Sandra Cooper Thorne and Kim Cooper and husband Leon and son Douglas Matthew Cooper and wife Routh; five grandchildren; sister, Martha Howard; and eight great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 15, 2017 at Macedonia Baptist Church. A visitation will follow the service.
