Ruth "Polly" Price Vinson, age 92, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017. Born in Norfolk, VA on February 22, 1925, she was the only child of the late Herbert R. Price and Ruth Burton Price. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Nelson Paige Vinson.

She is survived by her son, Nelson P. Vinson of Battleboro; daughters, Cindy Pridgen and husband, Dale, of Rocky Mount, Ruth Coker and husband, Matt, of Rocky Mount, Vicki Evans and husband, Gene, of Nashville, and Leslie Medlin and husband, Jimmy, of Rocky Mount.; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Rocky Mount with Rev. Larry Curtis and Rev. Bill Grisham officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 12:30 - to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service in the Narthex of First Baptist Church.
