Alvin Wayne Batchelor Jr., 40, passed away Friday, September 8, 2017. He was born on May 15, 1977 in Nash County. He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Wayne Batchelor Sr.; his grandparents, W.T. & Eunice Batchelor and John & Gertrude Short; his mother-in-law, Gail Moore; his uncles, Ralph & Albert Batchelor, and Joe Short.

He is survived by his wife, Tracy Batchelor; his children Laken Batchelor, Amber Hunter and Doug Hunter; his mother, Martha Batchelor; his brother, Craig (Gretchen) Batchelor; his father-in-law, Paul Moore; numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 11, 2017 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A Service will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Daniel Moss officiating. Immediately following the service will be a final ride conducted by Coopers Fire & Rescue Department to his final resting place.
