William "Bill" Hill Batchelor, age 86, of Rocky Mount, passed away July 12, 2017. He was born in Louisburg on May 25, 1931 to Jim and Margaret Batchelor Simpson. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. O.C. Hill of Elm City. Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Cox Batchelor and nephew, William "Bill" Chalker.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Genevieve Privette Batchelor; a son, William "Bob" Robert Batchelor and wife, Donna Sherrod Batchelor; a son, Bradford "Brad" Hodge Batchelor and grandson, William "Will" Hill Batchelor, II; a sister, Peggy Simpson Chalker of Marietta, GA, and one nephew.

Services will be held July 15, 2017 at 3 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Rocky Mount. A private burial will be held prior to the memorial service. Visitation will follow the service and other times at the home of Bill & Genevieve.
