Charles Whitaker, Jr., 66, of Nashville, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017.

Funeral services were held Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Union Hill Baptist Church in Nashville with the Rev. Audrey McCarter officiating. Burial followed at the Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Machelle Whitaker; daughter Chassity Lewis, and her husband, Scoey, of the home; a son, Charles "Clarence" "CC" Whitaker, III, of Cornelius; five sisters, Alice Dixon, of Boston, MA, Evelyn Douglas, of Michigan City, IN, Ruth Wilcox and her husband, Clarence, of Boston, MA, Geneva Lynch, of Boston, MA and Vivian Whitake and her husband, Reginald, of Rocky Mount; and four grandchildren.

Wake services will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Union Hill Baptist Church in Nashville.
