Lovane Williams Jones

Lovane Williams Jones, age 93, of Nashville, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017. Born in Wake County on August 2, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Ola Mae Williams and Paul Vernon. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bennett Thomas Jones; son, Thomas Earl Jones, Sr.; and sister and brother-in-law, Tramillar "T" and Alvin Brantley.

She is survived by her daughters, Doris Matthews and her husband John, Peggy Shearin and her husband Elwyn, and daughter-in-law, Judith (Faye) Rackley Jones; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services were held on Monday, April 3, 2017 in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Carlyle Hall, Jr. and Rev. Daniel Lambert officiating. Burial followed at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Arrangements by Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Rocky Mount.
