Norita Marie Wentzel Watson, age 98, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2017. Born in Biloxi, MS on September 19, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Charles Wentzel and Marie Lanius Wentzel. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ivey Watson, Jr.; and sister, Sophie Wentzel Grooms.

She is survived by her sons, Ivey Watson, III and wife, Jeanne, of Littleton; Robert Watson and wife, Jenna, of Rocky Mount; and daughters, Ellie and James Venneman, of West Hartford CT; Ann Hicks of Jacksonville, FL; and Lelia and Tom Cain, of Conway, SC; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Visitation with the family will follow the service until 11 a.m. A private Burial will follow at a later time.
