William "Bill" David Joyner, 77, passed away Monday, March 13, 2017. He was born November 7, 1939 in Halifax County to the late James Henry and Lucille Long Joyner. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Joyner; sister, Audrey Hooker; brothers, Ed, Louis and Gordon Joyner.
He is survived by his son, David Mack Joyner; three daughters, Tammy Joyner (Kenny), Ann Pridgen (David) and Angie Tanner (J.P.); sister, Betty "Polly" Melton; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Jean Matthews and Rev. Corrine Coley officiating. Visitation with family and friends will follow after the service and other times at the home of Tammy @ 13757 US64 Alt. West, Rocky Mount NC. Burial will be Friday, March 17, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
