BRUCE ELLIOTTE CARPENTER

Bruce Elliotte Carpenter, 70, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2017. He was born May 9, 1946 in Nash County to the late Willie and Olzie Whitley Carpenter. In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his step-father Edgar Holland, and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Melva Carpenter; four daughters, Genae McNeill-Meyerhofer (Kevin), Donna Mixon (James), Jean Pittman (Lindy) and Tammy Walston (Dennis); one brother, Wade Carpenter (Angela); two sisters, Christine Lamm and Brenda Popowitch(Milo); eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 1-2 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Moss officiating.
