Dora Edwards Kicklighter

Dora Edwards Kicklighter, age 63, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017. Born in Nash County on May 7, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Dorsey Edwards and Norine Moore Edwards. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Patsy Hull.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Robert "Kenny" Kicklighter of Rocky Mount; her daughter, Emily Kicklighter also of Rocky Mount; her sisters, Ann Tisdale and her husband, Frank, and Jean Mellor; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Proctor's Chapel Baptist Church, 2917 Old Wilson Road, Rocky Mount with the Rev. Walt Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Red Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
