Ella Yvonne Bobbitt Cornwell , 42, of Wake Forest, went home to be with her Lord on December 6, 2016. Yvonne was born in Nash County on March 1, 1974.

Yvonne is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Cornwell; her daughter, Ella Anne Cornwell; her son, Michael-Louis Bobbitt Cornwell all of Wake Forest; and her parents, Louis W. and Ola Mae Boulden Bobbitt of Castalia; her father-in-law, Mike Cornwell and his wife Debra of Kernersville; and mother-in-law, Ruth Cline and her husband Mark of Boones Mill, VA; a sister-in-law, Melissa Stuckey and her husband John of Winston-Salem; aunts,Annaionette Lilly of Garner Marie Braswell and Alice Lucas both of Castalia; uncles, Wayne and Linda Boulden, Wesley and Connie Boulden, and Wade and Irma Boulden all of Nashville; as well as many cousins.

Yvonne grew up in Castalia Baptist Church, where she was the pianist while in High School. She graduated from Rocky Mount Academy and then attended Meredith College. After marrying Thomas and starting their family, Yvonne's life revolved around her children, volunteering at their schools and teaching Sunday School. She was a loving and generous daughter, wife, and mother.

The family received friends Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd. Louisburg, NC, where funeral service was held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Burial followed in the Bobbitt family cemetery in Castalia.
