Martha Beulah Dempsey Braswell, 94 of Elm City, and formerly a longtime resident of Nash County, died Tuesday, October 25, 2016.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 1 at Ebenezer MB Church, 702 W. Raleigh Blvd. in Rocky Mount with Rev. Jimmie Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Northeastern Cemetery, 1031 E. Virginia St. in Rocky Mount. Public viewing will be on Monday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, 805 Nash St. E in Wilson from 12 noon to 3 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at William Chapel MB Church, 6154 William Chapel Church Rd. In Elm City. The wake and family visitation will be held between 6 and 7 p.m. The family will assemble at 6125 Bone Cut Off Rd. in Elm City at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday for the procession to the church.
