NASHVILLE - Marjorie Lee Evans Perkins, age 93, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2016. Born in Pittsylvania County, VA on November 8, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Hugh Evans and Alice Jones Evans. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Morton "Perk" Perkins; and sisters, Hazel Anderson and Florie Redmon.

Marjorie leaves behind to cherish her memory, son, David Perkins of Axton, VA; and daughters, Louise Walters of Ringgold, VA; Celia Wheeler of Nashville, NC; and Elsie Bernabe of Kapolei, HI. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Evans of Greensboro; and several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, August 19, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Danville Memorial Gardens, 510 Church Ave., Danville, VA. A visitation with the family will follow the service.
