Doris Williams Jones, age 83, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2016. Born in Wilson County on August 30, 1932, she was the daughter of the late William Henry Williams and Jesse Garrett Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Henry (Casey) Jones; and her sister, Helen Williams Simpkins.

She is survived by her sons, William Henry (Hank) Jones, II and wife, Kathryn Strange Jones; George Thomas Jones and wife, Jill Bruner Jones; her sister, Margaret Williams Gay; and four granddaughters, all of Rocky Mount.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Dennis Darville officiating. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service.
