Donald "Donnie" R. Arrington, age 83, of Wilson, passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016. Born in Nash County on December 31, 1932, he was the son of the late Joseph Carter Arrington and Cleo Arrington Barnes. He was also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Yvonne Alford Arrington of Rocky Mount; his son Mark C. Arrington and his fiancé Julie Brooks of Rocky Mount; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Jo Ann English and husband, Mack, of Nashville.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Pineview Cemetery with Elders Cleo Robinson and Harold Pittman officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives Wednesday, March 2, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
