Mattie Lou Evans, 75, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 1 p.m. from Philadelphia Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda Evans Battle, of Knightdale; one son, James Thomas Evans and his wife, Louisa, of El Paso, TX; three sisters, Barbara Richardson, of Nashville, Alene Cooper, of San Antonio, TX and Linda Evans, of Nashville; seven brothers, Prince Evans, Henry Evans, Elijah Evans, Charlee Evans, Jessie Evans, Richard Evans and Willie Evans, all of Nashville; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Wake services will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 from 6 until 7 p.m.
