Mary Brake Strickland, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2015. She was 97 years old, born August 23, 1918, to the late Willie G. Brake and Mary Jane Hill Brake. She was predeceased by her husband, Sidney Strickland, son Kenneth Ray "Pee Wee" Strickland, daughters-in-law, Linda Joyner Strickland and Johnette Bailey Strickland, sister, Lillie Brake Collie, and brother, John Brake.

Survivors are Mary S. Medley, Frances S. and Charles Pollard, Sidney and Becky Strickland, Donnie Strickland and Sue Smith; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters Emma "Tibby" Williams and Elizabeth Landin; brothers Percy and Peggy Brake, Bill and Doris Brake and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Joe Price officiating. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 12:00 Noon to 1:45 pm prior to the service.
