Peggy Kay Simpson, 62, of Rocky Mount, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015. Born in Greenville, SC, on June 19, 1953, she was the daughter of Juanita and Boyce Kay.

Peggy was preceded in death by her mother, Juanita Hannah Kay.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Dennis Arden Simpson; her son, Andrew Dennis Simpson and his wife, Kathryn Smith Simpson, of Raleigh; and her step-daughter, Legare Catherine Simpson of Wilmington. She is also survived by her father, Boyce Calmer Kay, and his wife, Kathryn, of Surf City; her brother, Dan Harris Kay, and his wife Jeni, of Caswell Beach; and nephews.

The family will receive guests at the Simpson home on Monday, September 21 from 6-7:30 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate Peggy's life will be held at Lakeside Baptist Church, 1501 Sunset Ave, Rocky Mount on Tuesday, September 22 at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Jody Wright officiating.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contribution in Peggy's memory may be made to the National MS Society at P.O. Box 4527, New York, NY 10163; or a charity of your choice.
