James R. Arrington of Rocky Mount passed away September 11, 2015.

Funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m., Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Johnson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Elm City, NC. Interment will follow at Bakers Cemetery in Nashville. A visitation will be held from 1:30-2:30PM prior to the services at the church.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda L. Arrington of the home; daughters, Lorraine Summerville (Harold), Linda M. Arrington (Jeff); sons, Tyree Arrington and Demetrius M. Arrington; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law; Rachel Hines, Susan Robinson, Roberta Harris (Jack, Juray Tucker, brohter-in-law; Robert Neal (Gennie), and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Arrangements will be announced by William Toney's Funeral home, Spring Hope.
