BETTIE MAE GRIFFIN TANT

Bettie Mae Griffin Tant, 98, passed away Friday, July 3, 2015. She was born March 24, 1917 to the late Joseph and Jane Vick Griffin. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by six brothers; three sisters; husband, Bernard Tant; son, Willie Joyner; daughter, Shirley Speight and a grandson, William Farrar.

She is survived by her daughter, Doris Farrar of Nashville; son, Herbert Joyner of Oak Level; son-in-law, George Speight of Nashville; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren and one on the way; two step great- great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Darcey "Heybo" Vick and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 6:30 pm Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Parker officiating. The visitation will follow the service. Burial will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
