Middlesex –- Thomas Gerald Edwards, age 78, passed away Monday, April 07, 2014.
Graveside services were  conducted at Oakdale Cemetery on Friday, April 11  with the Rev. Tim Hopkins officiating.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton Glen and Foy Brantley Edwards, a brother, William Sanford “Sandy” Edwards.
He is survived by his brothers, Dr. George C. Edwards and special friend, Susan Bradshaw, of Raleigh and M. Glen Edwards and wife, Gerry, of Spring Hope.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Campbell University, P.O. Box 116, Buies Creek, NC 27506 to honor Gerald “Scootchie” Edwards, Class of 1957 “Pole Cats” Athletic Dept. Support Endowed Fund.
