Thelma Walker Edwards, age 91, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014. Born in Nashville on August 3, 1922, she was the daughter of the late George Walker and Lizzie Bass Walker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William H. Edwards and son, Tracy Edwards.
She is survived by sons, Harvey Chipp Edwards and wife Donna, Ronald Keith Edwards and wife Rachel and William Reginald Edwards and friend Wilma Heath. She is also survived by three grandchildren  and their mother, Jennie M. Edwards.
A funeral service was held Saturday, February 15, 2014 at North Rocky Mount Church of God  with Rev. Jerome Mozingo officiating. Burial followed the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Rocky Mount Church of God, 2413 Gold Rock Road, Rocky Mount NC 27804.
