Carolyn Davis, 57 of Rocky Mount, passed away on September 10, 2013 at Hospice of Wake County. She was the daughter of the late William McKinley and Bettie Williams Davis. In addition to her parents and grandparents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Almetra Jackson and brother, Van Arthur Davis.
Funeral services were held Saturday, September 14, 2013   from Word Tabernacle Church, 820 Nashville Road, Rocky Mount. Interment was at  William McKinley Davis Family Cemetery, McGregor Road, Nashville.
She is survived by her daughter, Te’Cara Rudd of the home; siblings, James Nicholson of Whitakers, Ireatha Smith of Mt. Vernon, NY, Earline Caul of Rocky Mount, Patronee (Climmie) of Carrolton, TX, McKinley (Eliza) of Stafford, VA, Patricia Bryant (Nathaniel) of Whitakers, Napoleon (Iva) of Nashville, Berkeley (Kim) of Patterson, NY and LeAnne of Nashville; a niece and two nephews raised in her home as siblings, Vincent Lucas of New Rochelle, NY, Cynthia Pigford (Carl) of Garner and Donald Jackson of Nashville; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
